Recently, the foundation laying ceremony of CSCEC Steel Structure (Egypt) Manufacturing Base for enterprises in the China Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (TEDA Cooperation Zone for short) was successfully held. Waleed Youssef, Vice Chairman of the Southern Region of the Suez Canal Special Economic Zone, Dr. Ibrahim Abdel Khalek, Vice Chairman of the Investment and Development Administration, Alaa Abdel Karim, Customs and Tax advisor, Chang Weicai, Chairman of CSCEC Egypt Branch, Han Zhaohua, Member of the Standing Committee of CSCEC Science and Industry Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and relevant responsible personnel of CSCEC Steel Structure and North Africa Company attended the ceremony.
Waleed Youssef said that in recent years, under the personal initiative and guidance of the national leaders of China and Egypt, the China Egypt strategic cooperative partnership has operated at a high level and achieved fruitful cooperation. As a hot spot for investment, the Suez Special Economic Zone continues to increase its attraction to Chinese enterprises. He looked forward to the continued development of CSCEC steel structures in this hot spot to create new brilliance.
Chang Weicai stated that the construction of China Construction Steel (Egypt) manufacturing base is an important milestone in the global development layout of China Construction Steel. China Construction Egypt Branch is willing to work hand in hand with China Construction Science and Engineering Corporation and China Construction Steel Corporation to contribute new Chinese enterprise wisdom and solutions to promote and sublimate bilateral trade cooperation between China and Egypt.
Han Zhaohua delivered a speech and announced the official commencement of CSCEC’s steel structure manufacturing base in Egypt. He said that the excellent projects undertaken by CSCEC Steel Structure in Egypt could not be separated from the strong support of CSCEC Egypt Branch, TEDA Cooperation Zone and the General Administration of Suez Canal Economic Zone. After the formal construction of the manufacturing base, CSCEC Steel Structure will further extend and improve the entire industrial chain of research, development, design, production, installation and testing, train a batch of mature workers in the Egyptian steel structure industry, promote the supporting development of Egyptian steel structure resources, improve the level of Egyptian industrialization, and contribute to China Egypt economic and trade cooperation and the “the Belt and Road” initiative.
Representatives from Egypt’s Teda Special Zone Development Company, Banna Company, Haier Industrial Real Estate Co., Ltd. and other related companies attended the ceremony.
The CSCEC Steel Structure (Egypt) Manufacturing Base is located in the Eixample of TEDA Cooperation Zone, covering an area of 27000 square meters and a building area of 20000 square meters. It is positioned as the most advanced intelligent manufacturing and processing base for steel structures in Egypt and even North Africa. Its manufacturing workshop will introduce intelligent production equipment independently developed by CSCEC Steel Structure. After completion, it will greatly improve the steel structure manufacturing level in North Africa, provide customers with steel structure full industrial chain and full cycle services, and actively support the construction of countries along the “the Belt and Road”.
